Seed Library

Get and Donate Seeds

Get seeds:

Choose seeds by self-service at any library location. At the Downtown Library, find the Seed Library on the 2nd floor, where seeds are kept in the drawers of one of our treasured vintage card catalogs. Seeds are also available in smaller collections at our Bethel and Sheldon branches.

Donate seeds:

Seed donations can be dropped off in the box on the table next to the Seed Library at the Downtown Library, or given to staff at Bethel and Sheldon branches. You can donate seeds you have purchased, even if the packet has been opened or partially used. We also accept locally grown and harvested seeds if they are clean, dry, and stored in a labeled container. Download and print a donation form to attach to the seeds or pick up a form when you get to the library.
