Books and Reading for Adults

Short Story Dispenser

Eugene’s short story dispenser spotlights our community’s love of reading to locals and visitors alike. Installed at Eugene Airport, curated by Eugene Public Library, and funded by Eugene Public Library Foundation, this delightful kiosk delivers free printouts of stories and poems with the push of a button.

Our dispenser is one of more than 300 being enjoyed by millions of readers worldwide. The written works change over time, featuring pieces by local writers as well as those chosen from an international collection.

Visit the short story dispenser when traveling to and from Eugene Airport, or browse and read its complete contents online anytime.

Our collection will change and grow over time. We welcome submissions of original writing for inclusion in Eugene’s short story dispenser.

You can also submit your writing for consideration for the Short Édition international collection, where it may be selected for use in short story dispensers worldwide.
